Criminal background checks

Once you have identified an individual you wish to work for you as a personal assistant, you may wish to conduct a criminal background check.

If you receive services under one of the Connecticut Waivers, please contact your case manager for the required checks and screenings prior to making an offer of employment to any potential candidate.

If you do not participate in a waiver program and wish to conduct your own background check, verify with the state as to its conditions for a background check. States may differ on requirements.
