Information for Vermont agencies

At present, all Vermont agencies are welcome to access the list of Direct Care Workers free of any charge. Please follow these steps:

  1. You will need an access code. Contact RewardingWork.org by calling toll-free at 866-212 WORK (9675) or emailing info@RewardingWork.org to get your code.
  2. You may use your access code to hire direct care workers for your agencies.
  3. If you serve individuals or families who are self-directing, you should share your code with them.
  4. You may share your code with as many individuals and families as need it.
  5. You may be asked to help self-directing individuals to use RewardingWork.org. Training sessions will be held throughout the state. If your agency cannot help, please contact RewardingWork.org (above) or Merle Edwards-Orr at 802-241-4496, e-mail merle.edwards-orr@ahs.state.vt.us.
  6. If you are contacted by an individual or family member that you do not serve, please direct them to an agency in their region that could support them. (For instance, if you are a Home Health Agency and receive a call from someone who needs Developmental Disability services, please refer them to an agency in their region that serves people with developmental disabilities. See contact agencies for list and regions.)
  7. If you plan to hire staff through RewardingWork.org, you may do so by registering and using your access code. In addition, your agency information is included in the "Finding a Job" section under Vermont agencies. Please check your listing for accuracy.
  8. If you serve people who are self-directing, your agency information also is included in Contact agencies. Please check your listing for accuracy.
