Employer of Record Service

Select organizations in New Hampshire offer Employer of Record services.

What is an employer?

Upon selecting, hiring, and making payments to a provider to work with your loved one, you become an employer. Employers are responsible for providing and managing payroll taxes, including federal/state and social security, and verification of citizenship to work in the USA. You are also responsible for providing workers' compensation should a provider become injured on the job.

Why should I select an Employer of Record?

Selecting an Employer of Record offers you peace of mind while employing providers to work with your loved one. For a markup on the payroll cost, a participating partner agency will act as the Employer of Record; this will be a co-employment relationship. The Employer of Record will complete the pre-employment background checks, verification of citizenship to work in the USA, and process to hire. The workers' compensation responsibilities and payroll processing and related taxes for your employee are also assumed by the Employer of Record.
