PCA needed for Adult

Description

Seeking female caretaker for 27 yr old female with low-functioning autism and seizure disorder. Seizures are 6-8 per month, 45-75 seconds, and caretaker may have to prevent a fall if client is standing when a seizure occurs. She is usually happy, but can be crabby and can occasionally have challenging behavior. She enjoys her iPad, music, movies, puzzles, and being read or sung to. The job involves showering (in shower chair), teeth flossing and brushing (she does not bite), and meal prep (we use fruit and prepared meals that need heating). Start of shift occurs with hand off from her day program.

Time slots (end time has some flexibility)
M/W 7:30pm to 9:30 or 10:00pm
T/Th 6:30pm to 9:30 or 10:00pm
F/Sat 3:30pm to 9:30 or 10:00pm

Pay is $24/hr M-Th shifts and $26/hr F-Sat shifts

Prefer an applicant cover at least two time slots.

Required: female, pet tolerant, has car access and driver's license, nonsmoker, comfortable with hygiene care, punctuality due to interface with day program caregiver, comfort giving oral meds (pills in applesauce and liquid med in oral syringe), CPR certification
Desirable: experience with special needs clients
