Individual Day Support needed for Adult

Description

Will be responsible for assisting an intellectually disabled young man navigate safety in the community. This can be done by walking in the community (i.e. downtown Andover or Lawrence) and ensuring lights are used appropriately and looking both ways. Improve money skills via counting money, ensuring the correct change when purchasing. Improve time management skills through understanding what it means to be on time. Such things as what 5 minutes looks like versus 30 minutes. Be a positive mentor.

8-10 (can be broken down so 2 people can take 4-5 hours per week). Only day that is not available is Wednesday due to work.

Young man is very independent in his daily living skills and communicates well. Loves all things Marvel, has many action figures and has seen every Marvel movie. Pizza, burgers, and anything chocolate are his personal favorites. Also loves working out at the YMCA. Works at the Y and Market Basket for a total of 5 hours per week.
