Job Coach needed for Adult

ISO someone to serve as a job coach for a 22 year old with moderate developmental disabilities who is starting a new job as a cashier/stocker in a local grocery store in Natick.

We are looking for someone who has good EQ (emotional intelligence, or the ability to understand and "read" situations well and break them down for another person) to serve as a support/job coach for our son 2-3 hours/day on 2-3 days over the next few weeks. In past experience, this position hasn't been needed more than maybe a month or so, so it's a good short-term role for someone who is home for a while or has a flexible schedule.

Duties would include: accompanying the worker on site (near Natick Mall) for 2-3 hours/day, 2-3 days per week; ensuring that the worker is following instructions from supervisor; helping to interface between supervisor and coworkers and the worker himself, to ensure that he is meeting expectations and not unwittingly doing something wrong or annoying; and otherwise helping the worker (who has a fair amount of experience as a grocery store cashier) to sort out what is familiar and unfamiliar between this role and previous cashier/grocery store roles.

Generous hourly pay, flexibility on which shifts you support of the ones he is assigned each week, and our eternal appreciation are all offered.
