Caregiver needed for Adult

Description

We are looking for a dedicated, compassionate, and reliable live-in caregiver to share a home and provide companion-oriented personal care for our 48-year-old disabled daughter, Amanda, in her private condominium.
This unique arrangement is perfect for an experienced caregiver, HHA, or CAN (we are open to reviewing the application of someone interested in a caregiver position but needs training) seeking an exceptionally stable living environment, an expansive personal perks package, and zero personal living expenses.
The final candidate will be independently vetted and officially employed as the Adult Foster Care (AFC) provider through Open Sky Community Services.

🛋️ Living Arrangements & Premium Perks
• Zero Housing Expenses: Enjoy 100% free rent, condo HOA fees, property taxes, and all utilities (heat, electricity, A/C, water, and premium high-speed Wi-Fi).
• Private Quarters: You will have your own private, dedicated bedroom and bathroom on the second floor of a furnished condominium. You will have full access to the first floor containing a fully equipped kitchen, dining room, tv room, bathroom, screened deck, an attached garage.
• Fully Funded Groceries: A comprehensive, shared household grocery and cleaning supply allowance is provided to cover all meals prepared and consumed within the home.
• Dedicated Vehicle Perk: You will have full access to a provided vehicle parked at the condo. 100% of auto insurance, routine maintenance, and care-related fuel are paid for by the family. Reasonable personal use of the vehicle is allowed within a 50-mile radius.
• Comprehensive Health Insurance: The family will actively assist you in securing health insurance at no cost to you.
• Financial Stipend: On top of the tax-free Open Sky AFC program stipend, the family will provide a direct, personal monthly cash retention allowance to bring your total yearly caregiving compensation to $25,000.
• Entertainment: Fully funded household streaming packages (including Apple TV) are included.
• Respite: You will have one weekend a month off as well as 10 days of vacation. Also Amanda is in a day program from 7AM till 4PM Monday thru Friday except for days when she has doctor’s appointments.

📑 Core Caregiving Responsibilities
You will provide high-quality, engaging care designed to support Amanda's safety, physical wellness, and social enrichment, strictly guided by a loving, structured Parental Letter of Intent (LOI):
• Daily Living Support: Providing respectful cueing, supervision, and physical assistance with meal preparation, light housekeeping of common areas, laundry, and daily hygiene (including dedicated assistance with bathing and showering).
• Health & Medication Management: Accurately regulating, tracking, and administering daily prescriptions. You will schedule and drive Amanda to all medical, dental, and therapy appointments.
• Active Monitoring: Ensuring safety and supervision at all times, with specific active monitoring required during meal times and while eating.
• Community Outings & Joy: Escorting Amanda on regular community errands, shopping trips, and social visits. You will actively organize and participate in daily recreational activities inside and outside the home (e.g., playing board games, working on puzzles/crafts, going to movies, streaming preferred entertainment, and taking neighborhood walks).

🎯 Applicant Requirements & Boundaries
• Agency Compliance: Must be independently approved by Open Sky Community Services, successfully pass a standard Massachusetts CORI/background check, fingerprinting, and adhere to all agency training and safety rules.
• Exclusivity: Because this position requires consistent emergency availability and active engagement during waking hours, outside employment, traditional hourly jobs, or external shift work is prohibited. Your primary professional focus must remain on Amanda’s care.
