Description
IMMEDIATE OPENING for a per diem (as needed/floater) Mon-Fri 9:30am to 3:30pm female caregiver for my 26 year old autistic, nonverbal daughter in my New Milford home. The candidate will be required to assist with personal care task and daily living skills. Participate in leisure activities with her. Take her to do things she enjoys out in her community. Ensure her safety and wellbeing. Pay: $25/hr. thru GT Independence. She can have aggressive behaviors towards herself or others (head butting) on occasion if confused or upset but does not happen regularly. Overall, she is very good natured and likes to go walking, listen to music and watch TV. The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of autism and have at least 1 year experience working with persons with autism as well as be a youthful and energetic individual. Training will be provided.
