Posting as an Individual Goods and Services Supervisor.

Seeking a direct support professional to provide individualized day services for a 23 year old male with autism in Bridgeport. He is nonverbal and uses a communication device; hands on training will be provided with behaviorist.

Currently looking to hire a peer / peers to assist and support his programming in the community

The hours are Monday-Friday 10am-4pm. With a focus on community activities and involvement. He enjoys going to mall, walking parks, going out to eat (with approved locations) as well as trampoline parks. He is energetic and will need to be deescalated when overly excited, teaching strategies will be in place.

The position requires a vehicle / valid drivers license. Mileage will be reimbursed as well as activity allowance for outings.

Pay is BOE, starting wage $20.50-$22.00/per hour with hourly wage increase after 90 day working test period. Funding provided through DDS with GTI as the fiscal intermediary.
