Skills Trainer needed for Adult

Description

Opportunity to support an active, creative 22-year-old with Downs Syndrome, living in Dorchester with her mother. This individual loves going outside, coloring, walking in the park, visiting the library and stores, going to McDonald’s, and having fun. The job involves working on skills such as matching, identifying colors, puzzles, etc.. The job also entails going on outings, for example, to the store and helping the individual with purchases, like counting money. This individuals’ goals are choosing clothes and dressing, and other activities of daily living, like cleaning. This individual responds well to encouragement!

We are looking for another active person to accompany this individual on outings and work on skills and goals. This family is available Saturday and Sunday, but also during the week if there is availability.
