* Be in college studying education, child development or a related industry, have a degree in those fields, and/or have at least one year of professional experience working with children and/or young adults with or without disabilities
* Must pass a national criminal background check, county level criminal check, sex offender search, and motor vehicle check
* A minimum one-year commitment with a family
* Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
* A CPR/First aid certification must be obtained prior to working with a family

Job Description 

A professional and collaborative family is seeking an organized and detail-oriented nanny to be a part of their 23 year old daughter's care team full time Mon-Wed 6am-3:30pm and Th-Fri 3:30pm-8:30 for a total 38 hours per week. It's important to the family to have a nanny that enjoys working with a young adult who is joyous, loves to make jokes, laugh and dance. The family is seeking a patient and energetic nanny who is experienced with special needs, especially Cerebral Palsy. Experience with feeding, toileting and showering will be critical as well. Light physical support is needed to assist her with getting in her stander and using the lifts in her bedroom.
The family values someone experienced with nonverbal youth and who is a great communicator with them and their daughter. The young woman thrives on following a schedule filled with gross motor skill exercises (stretches and tummy time), group meetings (ie. workout classes, social and gardening groups) and community activities (cafe and library trips). Additional responsibilities include planning, preparing and serving meals/snacks (pureed foods, smoothies, pudding); unpacking backpack; packing school lunches; homework help; washing child's laundry; diaper changes; bathing child; and organizing her room.
