Respite Worker needed for Child

Description

Hi! My name is Janae Craig, and I'm looking for a reliable respite care provider for my 5 year-old son, Oliver, while I attend school for 6 weeks starting at the end of June. This would mainly be for backup/ emergency care on days his ABA services are unexpectedly canceled. Oliver is autistic, nonverbal, and a very sweet, energetic little boy. He communicates using a PECS book that he's been working with at ABA. He thrives with someone patient, engaging, and high-energy who enjoys singing, dancing, and interactive play.

Some of Oliver's favorite activities include:
• Pretend food/kitchen play
• Puzzles
• Sensory toys and activities

Oliver is still in diapers and would need help with diaper changes, as well as preparing simple meals and snacks during care. I'm hoping to find someone dependable, compassionate, and comfortable working with autistic children. Experience with autism, PECS, or special needs care is a huge plus.
