Description
Provide hands on support to an adult male in his early 40s with intellectual and significant physical needs both at home and in the community. Part of two person team.

• With ability to see the whole person and their potential, not just their support needs
• Has a positive life outlook
• Calm and respectful attitude
• Intuitive, innovative and flexible both in approach and provision of support
• Willing to explore community opportunities identified by family and provide any appropriate hands on personal care support needed at home or in the community
• Familiarity/experience with therapeutic riding a plus
• Experience supporting non-verbal individuals with multiple challenges (tight muscles due to Cerebral Palsy, lack of vision) a plus
Required
• Basic cooking ability
• Reliability is a must.
• Ability to work as part of a two person team
• Your physical strength needed for all transfers and activities of daily living
• Physically active
Great learning opportunity for those looking to pursue any field with close human interaction (ie. OT, PT, kinesiology, nursing, pre-med, teaching, human services, students looking patient care hours)
• Monday – Friday 9:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. (some hour flexibility but must be M-F)
• Permanent year-round position desired but would consider summer for right situation
Prefer that you are no more than 20 minutes from Hadley due to potential bad winter weather
