Caregiver needed for Child

Description

We are looking for a kind, reliable, patient caregiver for our sweet 10-year-old son, who has autism, an intellectual disability, and is non-speaking.

Responsibilities include engaging him in play and activities, spending time outdoors and going for walks, and helping reinforce communication and developmental goals supported by his therapy team. This includes encouraging and supporting his use of an AAC communication device.

The caregiver will also assist with daily routines such as diapering, tooth brushing, simple meals, and occasional bathing.

Experience working with children with autism or developmental disabilities is a plus. We would especially welcome someone with experience or an interest in special education, behavioral therapy, speech therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, or a related field. However, the most important qualities are kindness, patience, attentiveness, reliability, and a genuine interest in helping a child with developmental differences learn, communicate, and enjoy his day.

We are hoping to find someone who will become a caring and dependable part of his support team.

Need for:
Thursdays: 3:30pm - 7:30pm (4 hours)
Fridays: 3:30pm - 7:30pm (4 hours)
Saturdays: 8:45am - 6:45pm (10 hours)
