Job Opportunity: Behavior Technician / Respite Care Worker

We are looking for a caring and reliable Behavior Technician / Respite Care Worker to support our 13 year-old boy with autism and an intellectual disability in his home and community. This role is perfect for someone passionate about making a difference in a child’s life while gaining valuable hands-on experience in behavioral support and special needs care.

Position Details:
- Location: South Windsor, CT
-Hours: 15 hours per week (after school and weekends*
) - we are flexible and will try and work with you
- must have valid drivers license (we will provide a vehicle to transport)
- Pay: $30 per hour

Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one support to help develop communication, social, and daily living skills
- Implement structured activities and behavior support
- Assist with daily routines
- Engage in recreational and community outings
- Ensure a safe and supportive environment
-light housework - picking up after child, folding laundry and tidying

Qualifications:
- Experience working with children with autism and/or intellectual disabilities (preferred but not required) who can have behaviors
- Patient, reliable, and compassionate personality
- Ability to follow behavioral strategies and structured routines
- Must pass a background check
- Drivers license and car to transport in the community is required
