Caregiver needed for Elder

Description

We are looking for caregivers for our elderly father. He is generally healthy but no longer independently ambulatory. He is very good natured and kind. The caregiving requires:
- answering his call when he needs to toilet and cleaning him up
- preparing and serving meals as prescribed in the menu provided
- ensuring he remains hydrated
- helping with his physical therapy
- bathing and dressing him in the morning
- ensuring his skin is moisturized
- helping him into his wheelchair daily
- ensuring he has reading material, puzzles, etc to occupy his mind.
- accompanying him to events when scheduled

Our caregivers work 12 hour shifts. We are currently trying to fill the overnight shifts (7p-7a) Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. The positions are funded through the Veteran's Administration Veteran Directed Care program (VDC and sometimes also referred to as the VIP program). It requires getting a background check through Central Boston Elder Services before being onboarded. English speakers are preferred. Must be able to read and fully follow written instructions.
