Caregiver needed for Adult

Description

I’m a 60 y/o male with physical, medical and mental health liabilities
I am in need of a compassionate, caring and attentive companion (preferably male)
to care for and assist me with daily activities to ensure a better quality of life.

Engaging client by conversing with them, planning and attending to them as they participate in their appropriate social activities in and out of their home. Visiting with family and friends. Handling housekeeping chores such as but not limited to: cleaning, dusting, sweeping, mopping, organizing, cooking and laundry. Help planning and preparing healthy meals. Driving clients to outings, shopping, errands, & appointments. Taking a genuine interest in client by listening to their needs, ensuring that their environment is clean and safe. Monitoring client’s wellness. Encourage and assist clients participation in self-help groups/programs and support & guide them with completing various assignments and activities reporting any concerns or emergencies to appropriate parties like LifeLine, doctors, and/or family members.

As a personal caregiver, flexibility and a good sense of humor go a long way. Being able to relax and connect with client in a lighthearted way really helps build trust and comfort. Structure is good, but a little fun can make care-giving more human and meaningful
