Description
Here’s your revised job description with the pay range naturally incorporated:
We are seeking a reliable, patient, and engaging individual to provide part-time, in-home support for a 21-year-old young adult with autism. This is a meaningful opportunity to make a direct impact by helping build independence, confidence, and daily life skills.
The primary focus of this role is to support executive functioning and the development of consistent routines. Responsibilities include providing gentle prompting, assisting with task initiation and follow-through, and helping establish structure in daily activities. The right candidate will be comfortable offering encouragement while also respecting autonomy and promoting independence.
In addition, this role includes supporting healthy lifestyle habits, including participation in light physical activity (e.g., walking, going to the gym, or other preferred forms of exercise), and helping maintain consistency with these routines.
The ideal candidate is dependable, calm, and flexible, with an understanding of (or interest in learning about) autism, executive functioning challenges, and transitions to independent adulthood. Experience working with young adults with ASD or similar populations is preferred but not required.
This position is currently approximately 4 hours per week, with the potential for increased hours as needs and services expand.
**Compensation:** $18–$23 per hour, depending on experience (through a state-funded program).
If you are someone who enjoys building supportive relationships and helping others grow in confidence and independence, this could be a very rewarding opportunity.
