Location: Marion, MA
Position Type: Part-time / Hourly
Schedule: Weekdays; afternoons/evenings

Overview
We are seeking a reliable, engaging, and patient In-Home Support Companion to work with a 21-year-old male. This role is focused on fostering independence, providing social engagement, and assisting with daily routines in a supportive home environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in psychology, special education, or social work who enjoys building meaningful one-on-one connections.

Key Responsibilities
Social Engagement: Accompany the individual on community outings (trips to the park, library, or local shops) to practice social skills and navigation.
Life Skills Support: Provide gentle prompting and assistance with daily living tasks, such as meal preparation, light organization, and maintaining a schedule.
Activity Planning: Organize and participate in preferred activities, which may include landscaping and other projects around the house, exercise, or other interests.
Safety & Advocacy: Ensure a safe environment while encouraging autonomy and self-advocacy.

Qualifications
Experience: Previous experience working with neurodivergent young adults or individuals with autism is highly preferred.
Temperament: A calm, consistent, and proactive approach to communication.
Reliability: Punctuality and a consistent weekly commitment.
Requirements: Must have a valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle for occasional local transportation. Must be able to pass a standard background check.
