Caregiver needed for Adult

I'm looking for a warm, patient, and reliable caregiver to support my 21-year-old son, who has autism. He's a very social guy who genuinely enjoys being around people and building relationships. He's verbal and conversational, funny and loves to laugh, though he uses a more limited vocabulary and simpler sentence structure — he loves to chat and connect with the people around him.

This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys building a real rapport with the person they support, whether that's out in the community or just hanging out together.

Responsibilities
• Provide companionship and engage him in conversation and activities he enjoys
• Take him on outings and community activities (drives, train-watching spots, errands, etc.)
• Provide general supervision and support with day-to-day needs
• Ensure his safety and wellbeing throughout shifts

Requirements
• Prior experience working with individuals with autism/IDD is required
• Reliable personal vehicle and valid driver's license
• Comfortable with conversation-based social engagement
• Patient, dependable, and genuinely enjoys connecting with people
• Must pass a background check (CORI) and provide references

Schedule & Pay
• Primarily after-school hours on weekdays- approx. . 3pm - 6pm
• Occasional weekends and/or evenings, based on mutual availability
• Opportunity for additional hours over time
• Pay: $20–25/hour based on experience, with opportunity for increase over time
